Karbonn on Monday launched the Alfa A120 smartphone, priced at Rs. 4590. The budget-friendly smartphone is yet to be listed on the company website but is available with e-commerce sites.

The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Karbonn Alfa A120 runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 512MB of RAM.

The handset sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, along with a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera. The Alfa A120 comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the Karbonn Alfa A120 include 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM radio, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. Backed by a 3000mAh battery, the smartphone is rated to deliver up to 240 hours of standby and 18 hours of talk time on a single charge.

While in February this year, the firm launched its Karbonn Titanium Dazzle with support for 21 languages, Karbonn with the Alfa A120 has included support for 22 Indian languages, alongside some multi gesture features. The smartphone can compete with Lava Iris X1 Atom and Intex Aqua Y2+, both of which fall in the same price segment.

Karbonn last month announced its foray into the mobile accessories segment with the launch of portable power banks and screen guards. The power banks and screen guard accessories come from the company's newly launched Karbonn Mobile Accessories vertical. Starting at Rs. 999, the Karbonn power banks come in three different battery capacity variants - 5000mAh, 7000mAh and 10000mAh. The screen guards come under the brand "Ultra Clear" and are customised for Karbonn mobile devices.
