The default graphical photo management application for the GNOME desktop environment
GNOME Photos is an open source and free graphical application that allows users to easily access, organize and share their photos when using the GNOME desktop environment.
As of GNOME 3.10, the GNOME Photos software is the default image organizer of the GNOME desktop environment. It should also work with any other environment if the requirements are installed.
Users will be able to view local and online stored photo collections, view photos on attached devices, view photos on DLNA media servers, view new photos shared by friends, view full screen slideshows, as well as to share and upload photos.
Very basic manipulation of photos, such as rotate, crop, enhance, remove, delete, combine into an album, is also provided in GNOME Photos. But you will also be able to open photos in a full featured editor, such as GIMP.
